I think the papear box is cooler but not the plastic bags inside. When my chalk delivery arrived, it had loose chalk outside of the plastic so it wasn't really isolated from the environment.
Is hard to take the quantity I need and keep the rest stored in the plastic bag.
The chalk is nice, but the buying and shipping process is a little time-consuming and slow on the responses. The value is not worth it, we pay more in shipping than the value of the product, unfortunately.
The Gorilla grip from Friction labs is the best chalk I know…. Very dry for sweaty fingers

Keeping up thje friction in font in july is a lot easier when the chalk stays on your hands! FL (Gorilla Grip) stays on longer than any other chalk for me, and definitely feels more grippy! And it also arrived crazy fast after ordering online :D

Clean, high moisture absorbing, don't makes me feel "unnatural" in any way.
From my previous chalk i got sometimes small bubbles between my fingers after climbing.
After using to friction labs, they never came back. Also the chalk clearly absorbs more sweat than another chalk. I recognized this after forgetting my jog bag and borrowing my buddies one. Man, chalking up all the time nerved a lot lol.
Very expensive it is, the chalk from friction labs, but it is the best.
The more you swet or the more you react to impurities other chalk has, the more you benefit from friction labs chalk i believe.

I find the gorilla grip chalk awesome! I have used the Simond chalk before and it was a solid block of chalk. It was nice, but I had to break it down to pieces which left quite a mess behind. Anyway with this chalck, I don't have to worry about!

Been using this stuff EXCLUSIVELY for over a year now. Seems expensive compared to a 1.5 euro block of BD 'White Gold' but if you want to eek out every last drop of performance advantage then its worth the extra cash.

I have used a wide variety of chalks in my time climbing...the unicorn dust chalk is by far my favorite. Works great and keeps my hands dry!
I don't know how much less I am using although I am pretty sure that I do use less chalk, but more importantly, this shit doesn't get all slimy when you do sweat.
Like most, when I started out climbing I didn't care what sort of chalk I used, and would try different products just for the sake of doing it as I progressed. Then I found Friction Labs. Nothing feels better or stays on better in my experience. I've gotten handfuls of friends hooked as well thanks to the periodic gift-giving program Frictionlabs does where current subscribers can send samples to friends. Awesome company. Awesome chalk. To be honest , For years I figured chalk was chalk,. I would simply purchase the BLOCKS and crush them. Packaging and reading the packaging of Friction Labs chalk produced a curiosity so I gave it a try. It does seem to stay on my hand longer , doesn't clump up on my cuticles nearly as much, and keeps my hands dryer,. So that about the best I can say about the chalk it self , Let me send some props out to the company itself also,. Being a person who works a small business , these people touched me. The blogs, the videos, the email's having a personal friendly tone, plus when I respond to an e mail one is sent back in a timely manner and is personal. Customer relations is a big thing in todays world and these folks have that dialed in. I for one will keep crushing with friction labs chalk as my go to chalk.

Friction Labs chalk is the *bomb*. Its such high quality chalk! It helps my hands last longer when I really need them too. Our gym doesn't allow loose chalk, and the chalk balls available at the front desk just weren't cutting it for me... I had one of the staff recommend me to unicorn dust and a retired sock as a superior alternative. I actually have people come over and ask how my hands are so thoroughly coated, and if they can try it out. Great product, I recommend it all the time. I used a friends FrictionLabs outside working on a V13 at pikes peak and was able to stick the crux move on the V13. The following week, I purchased my first bag of FrictionLabs clack and went back to Pikes Peak and was able to send! This was my first V13 send and my first time using my own FrictionLabs chalk... Not saying that it was the only reason I got the climb but I will say that I will continue to use FrictionLabs!!
Tried out the new chalk cream the other day. It's pretty great. Lasts nearly an entire bouldering session.
When I first bought and used this chalk I was kind of skeptical about it and when I first used it I was wondering how it was any different than the metolious block chalk that I could buy for maybe $2 each. Even when I first used it, I didn't really notice the difference until I went back to my old chalk. If you are on the edge about buying it, I would go for it and personally I love it, however if you try it and you don't like it it is just opinion. Opinion is all any of these reviews can tell you, and sure if something has better reviews you may buy it. Don't like the chalk because others liked it, like or dislike it based on your opinion. I hope this helped.
If your not using friction labs chalk, ask yourself why? Do a test for yourself, next time you go climbing use a chalk bag with your old chalk and a second one full of friction labs, go crush. You'll see the difference!

I've been climbing for eight years and never thought much of the chalk I was using. A buddy told me about Friction Labs and from that point on I can't go back to normal chalk. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it would make in my climbing but It's night and day. I'll be using friction labs the rest of my climbing career.
Every since I've started using friction labs. My hands have been sticking to the wall like glue. This chalk is truly amazing and is 100% worth it.
The product I received was amazing and much needed while on my current deployment to Africa, I will definitely be asking for more in a few months since we don't have any chalk here.

I love Friction Labs. The chalk is amazing. It feels good on my hands and works better than any other chalk I've tried. Now that I've started using it, I can't stop and go back to other chalks. It's my favorite. It's also incredible easy to order, and arrives promptly. I love everything about it.
4 stars based on the $$$ necessary, not on the quality of the chalk itself which is a 5 star product. Find the need to chalk less, feels better on the hands and in short kicks a$$. I bought the middle grade of chunky, and feel like i'd have preferred to buy the Unicorn Dust.
As far as I know I was not given any warning that the price for my product went up. The product is great but it would have been nice to know of price changes ahead of time.

I used to think, "chalk is chalk." Unicorn dust proved me wrong! With normal chalk, almost all of it would come off on my first hold. Unicorn is fine enoug to stay on my hands and I love the silky smooth feeling

I am a 5.12 climber, not a 5.14 climber so I can't say I can discern this chalk from Metolius SuperChalk but its at least as good.
Frictionlab chalk is the only chalk I will use. From the first time I slapped it on my hands I knew it was going to be great. Coats my hands well, stays on longer then any other chalk i have used.

I have been using Gorilla Grip for a little over a year now. At this point I use only Friction Labs for chalk. Some of the things I like about it are how long you maintain that dry barrier between you and the rock, it still has small chunks for ticks when you need them, and the feel. There are some other brands that develop what feels like a layer of slime on hot humid days. This does NOT seem to be an issue with the Friction Labs. I love the stuff, I use it, I recommend it!
This chalk is dope. I don't need as much of it, it feels good, breaths good, and climbs good. Use it. Use it a lot. Climb on.
There is only one chalk in my life now. I had taken whatever I could get at my gym whenever I ran out and did not think much of it. Chalk was just chalk after all. Well, not so much. Friction Labs has taken a huge leap forward in the manufacture of chalk and the results are in my chalk bag, on my hands and in my sends. It makes me a better and more confident climber...end of story. This was highlighted for me when I bouldered at a gym in another city and rented a chalk bag...it was complete drag. Never leave home without it.
Oh yeah, and subscribing for chalk if totally cool...I don't even think about it it just arrives.
Basically the only chalk I've used since I began climbing, why change from something that's already perfect, right?? The ease of subscribing to get refills of GG is only icing on the cake.

Ordered 10 oz of Gorilla Grip. Used it for a couple of weeks now. Previously used chalk from Metolius w/a drying agent. GG doesn't dry out my hands after climbing and there's no appreciable difference in climbing level, which is a net improvement. Logistics of ordering were seamless and product arrived on time free of defects. Company marketing is a little too hyper-targeted at the Youth of Today for my taste, although I appreciate that the company/product is both better AND different in terms of P.O.V.
I have been climbing for well over 10 years and this is hands down, the best chalk you can get. If you have not gotten some already, I would highly recommend grabbing some. I Just recently switched my monthly subscription from unicorn dust over to the Magic Chalk Ball which is pretty amazing as well.

I accidentally ran out of Friction Labs and had to buy a block of the old stuff to hold me over (you know what I'm talking about). I definitely missed the way Friction Labs chalk sticks to my hands for longer. Luckily it wasn't long before the old chalk ran out and FL was back in. I immediately started climbing two grades harder and my forearms grew bigger than my biceps. Thanks Friction Labs!
The semi-famous Kathy Karlo turned me on to Friction Labs 4-5 months ago and since then, I only use the Friction Labs Gorilla Grip chalk. Love the chunks! It stays on longer, is stickier and is just cooler than those other brands. I like it so much that I bought two, not just one Friction Lab tee shirts so I can show everybody how much I like your product!

When I first heard about Friction Labs I was stoked on the branding and marketing alone, but it wasn't until I received my first bag that I realised how much better Friction Labs chalk is compared to all other chalk. While climbing, out of habit I would reach into my chalkbag and chalk-up, but I soon realised I didn't need chalk as frequently and would be able to climb much longer without chalking up.
Great Chalk, stays on way better than other brands. I went from Black Diamond to Friction Labs and you can definitely tell the difference. Gorilla Grip is King.

I have sweaty palms, so when I would bench sometimes my hands would slip a little to the side. I tried gloves but they did t last long. Went through three pairs already. I actually heard about this brand through my friend. He likes the unicorn dust. It's a good product and the packaging is the best I've seen.
I have sweaty palm and the weather here in Singapore is unforgiving. I tried different brand of chalk and noticed that I need to chalk up everytime i climb. As for Friction Labs chalk, I realise that i spend lesser time chalking up and more time climbing. My hands are drier. Awesome chalk!
